The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) of Pakistan, in collaboration with Interpol, has successfully apprehended a wanted criminal, Qazim Ali, in Oman. Qazim Ali was sought by the Punjab Police in connection with multiple cases, including murder. He had fled Pakistan in 2022 to evade arrest. Upon his capture, Ali was extradited to Karachi and subsequently handed over to the Punjab Police for further legal proceedings.
In a related operation, the FIA also arrested nine other criminals from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), all of whom were wanted for serious offenses such as murder and attempted murder, with some having been on the run for up to 14 years. These operations are part of a broader effort by the FIA and Interpol to bring fugitives back to Pakistan to face justice.
